Here are the supplies I used, but keep in mind if you have miniatures (of any kind), you can make this. Make them as whimsical as you like with mini trees, keepsakes, sprigs, or other small items.
Or have the kids put in small toys, drawings, LEGO builds – anything they would like to keep on display.
- Oui Jars (cleaned)
- Wood Ornaments or Rounds (with or without the hole)
- Faux Snow (Dollar Tree)
- Miniatures (I Used Bottle Brush Trees)
- E6000 and ModPodge
- Ribbons

How to Make Jar Snow Globes
Below are the steps I used to make these fun holiday decorations. Keep this page open and follow along with the steps or scroll down to print off the instructions.
First, clean the Oui jars well. Let dry.
Select the miniatures to be used, making sure they fit on the wood round with the overturned jar on top. Glue them in place to the wood round using hot glue.
Brush ModPodge onto the wood round, just inside the edges – leave room to glue the jar.
Sprinkle the iridescent faux snow on top of the ModPodge generously. Be sure to cover the bottom of the bottle brush trees, if using. Set aside to dry.
Use E6000 along the rim of the glass jar and press it onto the wood round. Let it dry per the instructions (we left it overnight).
Finally, add whatever decorations to the outside of the jar and it’s time to display!
