Materials You Will Need
This is one of the easiest DIY holiday crafts to put together and I bet you have what you need on hand already! You only need:
- felt
- scissors
- pins or clips
- chalk (optional)
- free templates and printer
Tip: Felt comes in different weights and I use a medium thick version for most of my felt crafting. There is a very thin felt available at all craft stores, but opt for the premium if you can.

How to Make This Christmas Tree Felt Napkin Ring
First, download, print, and cut out the free felt napkin holder template. It will have this craft and two others you can create with simple felt.
Pin or clip the 3D wrap around template to the felt. Cut along the outer edge of the template.
Optional: use chalk to outline the printable if repeatedly using the template for multiple napkin holders.

Line up the paper template to the felt cutout and cut the two slits indicated on the pattern. Make sure you’re cut one from the top of the tree and the other from the bottom.

Roll up a napkin and place it on the napkin holder with the bottom cut tree on the left. Bring the top cut tree into the bottom slit, lining them up. Gently pull the trees so the tops and bottoms are aligned.
